Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Directorate (GUR) said it destroyed two Russian landing craft docked in Crimea via explosive-laden uncrewed surface vehicles (USV). The attack took place at a Russian Navy base in Chornomorske, in western Crimea, GUR spokesman Andrii Yusov tells The War Zone.
The GUR on Friday released satellite imagery it says shows the vessels have been sunk, which you can see below.

Israel used a long-range Arrow 3 exoatmospheric ballistic missile interceptor operationally for the first time on 9 November, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israeli Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced later that day.

Given the depletion of its arsenal, the United Kingdom Ministry of Defense has published information on the possible readjustment of Russian air defense systems, including the S-400.
From its official platform, the  MoD suggests that Russia will need to relocate its SA-21  systems to maintain its surveillance over Ukraine.

The Indian government has ordered Elbit Systems Hermes 900 StarLiner unmanned aircraft systems (UASs) for the Indian Army and Indian Navy, according to a defence source.

Potential design changes to the Hunter-class frigates contracted for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) from shipbuilder BAE Systems Australia would boost the number of vertical launch system (VLS) cells on the ships from 32 to 96 and add four deck-mounted quadruple canisters of anti-ship naval strike missiles (NSMs).

Though it was December, we ate Labor Day cake.  The ceremony was normal. We dressed in combat uniforms and dark sunglasses. Two soldiers held the flag in front of the battalion crest just between the Chigos and the plywood door into our command post. The captain and first sergeant stepped out of their offices. Members of Trudel’s platoon bore witness. I said a few words, and we raised our right hands. I reenlisted Private First Class Trudel.  Serving this cake was a minor act of rebellion.

This week, the Joseph R. Biden administration met with Chinese representatives for an initial discussion on the future of strategic stability. The administration hopes that this meeting will serve as a first step in a larger dialogue on limiting nuclear arsenals. After years of struggle to engage China on nuclear issues, hopes now run higher that the United States and China might head off their escalating race to modernize and expand their nuclear forces. American interest in arms control dialogue is understandable.

A Northrop Grumman-built satellite communications (satcom) space vehicle (SV) for the Arctic Satellite Broadband Mission (ASBM) programme has cleared key developmental testing, according to company officials.
ASBM-1, one of two broadband satcom SVs being developed by Northrop Grumman for the joint ASBM programme between the US and Norway, has completed thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing, a 7 November company statement said.

The US Air Force (USAF) has formally retired the Northrop Grumman E-8C Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) in a 4 November ceremony at Robins Air Force Base (AFB), Georgia.
The E-8C, a Boeing 707-320C aircraft with an AN/APY-7 Side-Looking Airborne Radar (SLAR) mounted to its belly, entered service in 1991 to perform the ground moving target indicator (GMTI) role for the USAF.

A British luxury flight was forced to turn around and land after missing windows were discovered mid-flight. The failure has been tracked to a photoshoot the day prior that damaged the windows.
Outlined in a report from Britain’s Air Accidents Investigation Branch, the incident took place on October 4. An Airbus A321 chartered by luxury travel service and operated by Titan Airways (per The Independent) departed London Stansted Airport for Orlando International Airport at 11:51 a.m., with a crew of 11 and nine passengers.

Pentagon leadership recently issued new interim guidance to advise all U.S. defense and military components’ ongoing and forthcoming adoption of emerging and disruptive generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) technologies, sources told DefenseScoop.

Apple TV+ has released its first teaser for the Masters of the Air, the third limited series about World War II from the creative team behind Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
The teaser previews scenes from one of the most anticipated military-themed productions in years, with scense of air crews piloting their B-17 bombers through German anti-aircraft fire and fending off Nazi fighters at altitudes where humans cannot survive without oxygen masks.

The adoption of open radio access network (O-RAN) capabilities will be critical for the Defense Department and industry as they move forward with 5G and other advanced communication technologies, experts say.
In recent years, the Pentagon has awarded contracts and rolled out test beds for 5G and other next-generation capabilities. CIO John Sherman has said he’s particularly interested in scaling these efforts to include O-RAN technology pilots at additional installations.
O-RAN enables open interfaces, interoperable components and multi-vendor solutions for wireless networks.

Israel is beginning a four-hour daily pause in fighting to allow humanitarian efforts in the north of Gaza. It comes as intense pressure grows for Israel to address the burgeoning civilian crisis resulting from repeated bombardment and the ongoing ground invasion.
The pause was scheduled to begin Thursday, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters, according to CBS News.
