The United States’ war with Iran is entering a new violent phase. It started with an American Apache gunship helicopter being shot down, and then President Donald Trump ordered retaliatory strikes. Could we see more days or even weeks of war with Iran? One aspect of combat keeping the Americans from a prolonged attack is a lack of offensive missiles and defensive interceptors. These are difficult and time-consuming to produce, plus they are expensive to create.

In January of this year, Iran’s regime faced its biggest protests in years as anger spread over spiraling prices and a crumbling economy. The regime murdered thousands in a vicious crackdown.

Now, despite its bellicose talk, the country’s military has been battered by war and suffocated by a U.S. naval blockade; the country is now in even worse shape economically as Washington has tried to negotiate with Tehran into a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

An Army recruiter used the identities of seven would-be recruits to open bank accounts, cash in on fraudulent checks and credit cards in their names, and even buy plane tickets for a Las Vegas trip, according to federal court documents.
Former Sgt. 1st Class Jane Crosby pleaded guilty to bank fraud and aggravated identity theft in a federal court in Newark, New Jersey. Crosby was a recruiter in East Orange, New Jersey, in 2023 when, according to a plea agreement released by the Department of Justice, she used the identities of seven recruiting prospects to open accounts at a credit union.

Area 51 has long captured the imaginations of Americans since the original claims that the US military allegedly captured a “flying saucer” from another world here. Since that time, the public has fixated on understanding what secrets are located beneath and around the sands of Groom Lake.

One of the most well-defended facilities in the world, Area 51’s most important function is not so much its place in Pop Culture as an alien crash-landing site. Instead, its importance lies in being a proving ground for some of the most advanced, exotic US military systems and weapons.

To Offset Ukrainian Confidence, Putin May Employ More Destructive Weapons: Russia can no longer say that it definitively holds the advantage in the war in Ukraine. When drones were harder to obtain in large numbers and couldn’t inflict the kind of damage they do today, Russia had the upper hand – but today, Moscow is facing a growing challenge from Ukraine, and more analysts are suggesting that Russia is actually on the back foot.

Moscow possessed a larger military and more manpower for much of the war, while Ukraine was heavily dependent on Western aid.

During a June 3 test flight at Edwards Air Force Base in California, photographers captured the first B-21 Raider long-range stealth bomber prototype (called “Cerberus”) as it landed. The images show the aircraft’s outer trailing-edge control surfaces moving in opposite directions. One surface deflected upward.

An adjacent surface pointed down. Since those images were released, many have speculated that the B-21 generates drag differently than the older B-2 Spirit long-range stealth bomber.

The B-21 Raider was unveiled to the public at a ceremony December 2, 2022.

At 8:30 this morning, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the May Consumer Price Index, and the number U.S. President Donald J. Trump spent two years promising to bury is back: inflation rose 4.2 percent over the past 12 months. That is the highest reading since April 2023, the third consecutive monthly acceleration, and it arrives with five more CPI reports scheduled before the November midterms.

Warfare does two things: it obviously destroys, but it also forces adaptation upon the combatants. That is precisely what’s happening in the Iran War today. A leak of supposedly classified Russian intelligence documents has made its way onto the internet. Per those leaks, Moscow is not only supplying the Islamic Republic of Iran with Su-35 warplanes. The leaked contracts indicate that Russia is providing Iran with the weapons package needed to make those warplanes operational.

Oil prices may eventually hit $150 per barrel, according to economists. With the war in the Middle East heating up, oil prices are spiking as the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. Oil prices have been in a constant tug-of-war, fluctuating unpredictably with each passing day.

As the war continues, however, economists are certain that prices will continue to climb and remain high if a peace deal between the U.S. and Iran is not reached soon.

Ukraine’s war effort has increasingly extended beyond the front lines to include deep drone strikes on oil infrastructure, attacks on military airfields, logistics interdiction, and the assassination of senior Russian military figures. Will the asymmetrical pressure force Putin to negotiate for peace? Probably not. While Ukraine’s campaign can impose high costs, forcing the Kremlin to modify its decision-making is another story.
