Ukraine is reportedly set to receive the U.S.-made Joint Direct Attack Munition — Extended Range, or JDAM-ER, an air-launched precision-guided bomb with a supplemental wing kit that means it can hit targets at around 45 miles. In a Feb. 1 letter to lawmakers obtained by DefenseScoop, Del Toro said a study is underway to assess the supporting infrastructure required to operate the envisioned hybrid fleet, including the possibility of repurposing existing vessels for the mothership role.

The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) is seeking to deliver an interim medium-range land fires capability to the British Army within the next 12 months in an apparent attempt to bridge a looming capability gap, one created by the provision of the in-service 155mm AS90 self-propelled gun to Ukraine, that won’t be fully resolved until the introduction of a new artillery platform under the Mobile Fires Platform (MFP) programme.

The Republic of Kosovo celebrated its 15th birthday on February, 17, 2023, commemorating when it became the youngest country in the world in 2008. However, its path to independence was achieved through countless sacrifices made by numerous generations and at the cost of many lives. The fact that freedom does not come for free is a statement that fits Kosovo precisely; Kosovo’s people can vouch for that.
But the United States Armed Forces also played a decisive role in the liberation of Kosovo, and its people are forever grateful. This article is a dedication to them.
