The UK’s Armed Forces must be strong enough to deter conflict before it starts, the Chief of the Defence Staff has said.
At the Royal United Services Institute’s Land Warfare Conference, Air Chief Marshal Sir Rich Knighton said the priority was to build forces "that our adversaries are scared of".
