A serious road traffic collision involving a British Army Jackal, civilian casualties and trapped personnel sets the scene for Exercise Armoured Rescuer 26.
Taking place on the Bovington Training Area in Dorset, this large-scale training exercise brings together military medics, firefighters, rescue specialists and healthcare professionals from across the UK and Europe to prepare for major incidents involving military and civilian vehicles.
From rescuing casualties trapped inside a burning vehicle to recovering personnel from a Challenger 2 tank, participants face a series of realistic scenarios designed to test their skills under pressure.
While no one ever wants these incidents to happen, realistic training ensures that those who respond are prepared to deliver the best possible outcome when lives are on the line.
