EDGE subsidiary Milrem Robotics is set to showcase its uncrewed combat and firefighting ground vehicles (UGVs) at the LAAD Defence and Security 2023 event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Taking place from 11 to 14 April, the exhibition will showcase two uncrewed ground vehicles (UGVs), namely the THeMIS and the Multiscope.
GlobalData aerospace and defence analyst William Davies said: “The upcoming showcase at LAAD indicates they are likely looking to sell to a broader market, with attendees from all over the globe, as well as South America in attendance.

The Norwegian government procured 54 Leopard 2A7s on 3 February 2023 from the Munich-based company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW).
The latest in this procurement activity will see Düsseldorf-based defence company, Rheinmetall, enable these capabilities as KMW’s subcontractor. Rheinmetall will manufacture the Leopard’s key components.

The United States and other Western countries announced their intention to provide Leopard 2, Challenger, and M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine in the coming months. With half its tank fleet already lost, Russia has to compete with an increasingly sophisticated Ukrainian navy.
