American prime, Northrop Grumman, has enhanced the functionality of its AN/TPS-80 Ground/Air Task-Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) air defence system.
The system includes new performance upgrades that will extend the range and add advanced missile detection capabilities.
G/ATOR is a multi-mission air surveillance system that can detect, identify and track airborne threats common in combat environments: including cruise missiles, aircraft and remotely piloted vehicles as well as rocket, artillery and mortar fire.

On 14 June, the State Department announced its approval of a potential foreign military sale from Raytheon Company Missile Systems to the Government of Spain. The sale would include M982A1 Excalibur tactical projectiles and associated equipment, with an estimated value of $48.2m.
The M982A1 Excalibur is a 155mm precision-guided, extended-range projectile that employs GPS precision guidance to provide soldiers with accurate, first-round, fire-to-effect capabilities in any environment.
The British Army has resumed individual and crew training on the Ajax armoured vehicle, which will be carried out on the initial production standard platform – known as Capability Drop 1 – to familiarise personnel with operational practices and inbuilt systems.
The Ajax development programme had been halted in 2021 due to excessive vibration and noise leaving crews in need of medical attention, and only entered Reliability Growth Trails at the beginning of this year.

The Indonesian Ministry of Defense (MoD) has signed a contract to acquire the Qatar Emiri Air Force’s (QEAF’s) total fleet of 12 Dassault Mirage 2000-5 fighter aircraft.

The US has sent Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor fighters to the Middle East in response to “unsafe and unprofessional” behaviour by Russian aircraft in the region, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said on 14 June.

The Indonesian Army’sHarimau medium tanks will be equipped with reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) “to adapt to the demands of combat operations”, said the country’s Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto.
In a recent statement, Subianto said the addition of UAVs to the tanks will improve the “completeness of the combat operation”.

A patient on life support during the presidency of Rodrigo Duterte is now being readmitted into the ranks of America’s high-functioning Indo-Pacific allies. Beginning with the reaffirmation of the visiting forces agreement by the Duterte administration in July 2021, the two sides have made steady progress toward establishing an operationally meaningful defense partnership.

US Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is carrying out market research to see if there are contractors other than TCOM that can operate the Kuwait Low Altitude Surveillance System (KLASS).
In a request for information released on 13 June MARCORSYSCOM said the KLASS consists of a TCOM 71M tethered aerostat that carries a TPS-63 solid-state radar, as well as associated ground equipment and systems.
The MARCOS, or Marine Commandos, are the elite special forces unit of the Indian Navy. Officially known as the Marine Commando Force (MCF), they carry out special operations in India’s maritime domain.
The MARCOS undergoes specialized training to handle various situations, including counter-terrorism, underwater missions, and anti-piracy operations. They possess the ability to operate in diverse environments, including sea, air, and land.
The Indian Marine Special Forces (IMSF) established the MARCOS in 1985, and two years later, it was renamed the Marine Commando Force (MCF).
