Trump derangement syndrome and its variant, Hegseth derangement syndrome (HDS), continue to infect an undetermined number of victims in the military. Like the original affliction, this new strain is a debilitating malady that deprives the aggrieved victim of the ability to think and act rationally.

The British Army has expanded its fleet of main battle tanks by 32 percent, after bringing 69 Challenger 2 tanks out of storage and into service, which has brought the total fleet size up to 288 tanks from just 219 in late 2024. This was revealed in the annual statistical release on UK armed forces equipment in late October. Although close to 450 Challenger 2s were produced from 1986-1993, of which only 38 were built for export, the British Army was at the time almost double its current size, at 154,000 personnel and 1600 tanks compared to approximately 80,000 active personnel today.

New footage released by the Venezuelan Air Force has shown the service’s Su-30MK2 fighters on patrol over the Caribbean equipped armed with Kh-31 anti-ship missiles, in what has widely been interpreted as a major show of force responding to escalating threats from the United States. Two Su-30MK2 fighters were shown flying in formation armed with the missiles. The fighter type has been considerably more active over the past two months, since the U.S. vastly expanded its military presence in the region.
A National Guard soldier was arrested this week and charged with attempting to sell military helicopter parts to Russia, the Department of Justice announced.
Canyon Amarys, 28, was arrested on Oct. 28. He was charged with attempting to give a military helicopter radio to Russia, in an attempted violation of the Export Control Reform Act. He made his initial appearance in federal court on Thursday, the same day the Department of Justice announced the arrest. He pleaded not guilty.
