The Republic of China Ministry of National Defence has announced today that Deputy Minister of Military Affairs Hsu Szu-chien led a delegation to the United States to visit the F-16 Block 70 fighter production line in South Carolina to witness the aircraft complete its Lockheed Martin Acceptance Check Flight. The Ministry released a photo the delegation with an assembled fighter jet, which is the second F-16 Block 70 built for the Republic of China Air Force, and the first F-16C single seat variant. The Ministry indicated that delivery will began before the end of the year.

A training instructor at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland is facing court-martial for having sex with three trainees he was in charge of, the 37th Training Wing said.
Staff Sgt. Davonte Hardaway, who served as a basic military training instructor with the 324th Training Squadron, is accused of having “improper relationships with students.” The charges include three allegations of “prohibited sexual activity with students.” The San Antonio Express-News first reported on the court-martial against Hardaway on Thursday.
The Army has taken delivery of a UH-60M Black Hawk that has been upgraded with autonomous flight capabilities, the service announced Friday.
The optionally-piloted helicopter — which has been designated UH-60Mx — will move into a “rigorous testing phase” over the coming months, according to an Army news release. Upcoming tests are designed to validate the Black Hawk’s ability to be controlled by troops on the ground and perform in complex, real-world missions without a pilot in the cockpit.

The U.S. Air Force is seeking small, backpack-portable one-way attack drones for its special operations forces, according to a request for information (RFI) posted this week.
“Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Special Tactics units currently lack a purpose-built First-Person View (FPV) unmanned capability,” the RFI notes.
