“Devotion” is a Korean War film directed by JD Dillard that honors the experiences of Lt. Tom Hudner and Ensign Jesse Brown. It’s based on the book, “Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice,” by Adam Makos.
Glen Powell and Jonathan Majors give strong performances as Hudner and Brown. In a documentary produced by the Marines’ Memorial Club, both actors discuss what it meant to play these important roles.
When Jesse Brown died, he became the first Black American killed in the Korean War.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) Phase Three stuck its landing with Avengers: Endgame, which introduced time travel and the multiverse into the MCU. After that, things started getting crazy, most specifically when Loki season one introduced us to variants — multiverse versions of characters — and to Jonathan Majors’ Nathaniel Richards also known as Kang the Conqueror. Spider-Man No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hinted at some of the dangers that can come from multiverse travel and timeline corruption.
Now it’s time for Phase Five of the Marvel lineup.
Even if you’ve never touched a firearm in your life, everyone knows how it basically works. You put the round in the barrel, aim, pull the trigger, and the round hits the target.
On a very rudimentary level, that’s true, but ballistics are a bit more complicated than that. To understand the process better, we have to start with the round.
Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about ammunition and how it works
What are bullets made of?
Back in the day (and by that, I mean more than 100 years ago), bullets were made from pure lead. Today, however, that’s not an option.
Those who serve in the military come from all walks of life. They span ethnicities, come from different regions of the country and have various socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Likewise, veterans are a diverse group who reflect a wide range of opinions. There is one issue, however, upon which veterans universally agree: anger over episodes of stolen valor. You’re familiar with the scenario. An individual passes themselves off as a veteran to obtain some sort of benefit. Often it is for financial gain, or recognition and approval.
On February 22nd , large cyber warfare exercise took place in Tallinn, Estonia. The exercise was European led but numerous non-European countries participated including India, Ghana, Japan, the US, Kenya and Oman. The exercise simulated tactics that Russia has used during the invasion of Ukraine, clearly demarcating Russia as the threat that the exercise seeks to prepare for, while training participants to respond to potential cyberthreats.

It was not until afterwards that the full impact of what Air Force Maj. Kyle Konkolics had just done finally sunk in.
“All the nerves came after the fact,” the CV-22 pilot recalled years later. “It’s like ‘oh my God, we just did that,’ and you think about all these crazy things that could have happened or did happen.”

The Finnish Defence Forces Logistic Command have procured Next Generation Light Anti-Tank Weapons (NLAWs) from Swedish-based defence company Saab on 23 February.
The order value is approximately USD$38mn (SEK400mn) with product deliveries planned during 2024.
The NLAW is a shoulder-launched, anti-tank missile system that attacks the tank from above. However, it is also suitable for destroying assault vehicles and light vehicles, as well as weapon emplacements. It combines light-armour weapons with heavy, crew-operated guided missile systems.
A Supacat-Babcock alliance will deliver a minimum of 70 additional high mobility military transporters (HMT) 400 series to the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (MoD), with the number of vehicle deliveries potentially rising to 240.
Alongside the Challenger 2 tanks that the UK MoD has donated to Ukraine, the MoD also sent various armoured vehicles supporting Ukraine. The new investment for the British Army is to help the MoD replace the lost fleet of armoured vehicles donated with a supply of 70 HMT 400 series vehicles.

The recent shootdowns of three unidentified aerial objects in as many days have publicly revealed shortcomings in the U.S. military’s air defense system for North America that both the United States and Canada have been working to fix.
U.S. military aircraft shot down the objects on Feb. 10, 11, and 12 in American and Canadian airspace. The three engagements came roughly a week after a Chinese spy balloon flew across the United States before it was ultimately downed on Feb.
