A tweet posted by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry confirms that Ukrainian air defenders have shot down a Russian Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missile for the first time since the attacks began. The operators of the Patriot Air defense system did it.
Earlier, a news portal, Defense Express, claimed to have obtained photographic evidence of debris, including a damaged nose fairing, from a Kh-47 Kinzhal missile launched by a Russian MiG-31 in an attempted attack on Kyiv.

The U.S. Marine Corps veteran who choked an unhoused man to death on the New York City subway this past week has been identified as Daniel Penny of West Islip, New York.
Penny killed Jordan Neely, a 30-year-old Black man on May 1 aboard a forward car of New York City’s F Train. The New York City medical examiner ruled that Neely’s death was a homicide caused by compression of the neck.
The 24-year-old Penny served in the Marine Corps from 2017 to 2021, assigned as a rifleman to Camp Lejeune, per his public records.
After 5 years of intense work, the United States Air Force F-22 fighter jet, believed to be beyond airworthy after its crash at Naval Air Station Fallon, has been reinstated to the fleet.
The Air Force stated that the F-22 Raptor was damaged when a failed takeoff occurred at Naval Air Station Fallon, Nevada, in April 2018.
After a team went to Fallon to disassemble and transport the plane back to JBER, tail number AF-07-146 spent nearly five years preparing to return to the skies.

A series of explosions rocked parts of Crimea near the city of Sevastopol over the weekend. A Russian-backed official in Crimea claimed it was an attack by Ukraine, carried out using aerial drones.
“No objects [in Sevastopol] were damaged,” Mikhail Razvozhayev, the governor of Sevastopol, wrote on Telegram.

Video shows a Russian T-72B3 tank from its Western Military District thundering through the mud with an overhead metal screen, widely termed “cope cage” by Ukrainian troops, with an added layer of what appear to be Kontakt-1 explosive reactive armor (ERA) bricks on top.
The full video from the Russian Ministry of Defense showed the tank providing drone-corrected indirect fire using its 125mm cannon at high elevation. It nearly takes out the drone filming its attack with overpressure from the gun.

The Ukrainian Air Force has confirmed that a MIM-104 Patriot missile system intercepted a Kh-47 Kinzhal air-launched ‘hypersonic’ ballistic missile over Kyiv in what could be a high-profile victory for the U.S. missile system just weeks after entering Ukrainian service.
Ukraine initially denied the interception despite a swath of open-source intelligence suggesting a Patriot got the kill. Photos from the downed missile’s crash site appear to show damage from an interceptor.

An Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon crashed into a field near Osan Air Base today. The crash occurred at 9:45 a.m. local time Saturday morning.
The F-16 was taking part in a training flight, per an initial statement from the Air Force, when it went down over farmland a few miles away from Osan Air Base, which is home to the 51st Fighter Wing. The pilot was able to eject before the crash and was not injured.
