Being part of the military community brings so much honor and patriotism. Serving our country as active members of our military and also as military spouses comes with its fair share of issues that we are all well acquainted with. Within our community, throughout the different branches, there are many underrepresented groups struggling with unique challenges not everyone faces. As many know, the U.S military has been known historically to be one of the most diverse institutions in our country. Our military is now more racially and ethnically diverse in comparison to previous decades.

Close your eyes and picture a military spouse greeting their loved one after a long duty assignment away from home. You’re probably picturing a woman in an airport or giant parking lot. She has on a dress, maybe it’s covered in polka dots. She has a small child with her. Around the corner comes her husband, in uniform. He is carrying a duffle bag over his shoulder and… what’s that? He is holding a stuffed animal, surely meant for the child. They scream with joy as they all hug each other, happy to be reunited at last.
Something like that anyway.

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — The Air Force’s information warfare organization is looking to change how it develops requirements for new capabilities and concepts.
Created in 2019, 16th Air Force consolidated several commands and capabilities for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, cyber, electronic warfare, information operations and weather, to set up an integrated information warfare command.

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — The Space Development Agency is in the early stages of understanding how the organization can further support the Defense Department and intelligence community in conducting intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance of advanced missile threats from space, SDA Director Derek Tournear told reporters Monday.

Sgt. Maj. Gerardo Trevino was relieved of duty on Sept. 12 by Col. Peter Rummler, commanding officer of the Recruit Training Regiment, due to a “loss of trust and confidence,” said Capt. Austin Gallegos, a spokesman for the recruit depot.
