In every war, there are casualties and there are costs, and that’s true even for trade wars.
President Trump’s justified trade war with China – and with other countries who have taken advantage of the US – will, eventually, be successful and will usher in a new Golden Age of Made in America.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is making adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities a primary focus in 2025 by integrating new technologies into its workflows.
As a combined intelligence and combat support agency, NGA is tasked with collecting geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) from satellites and other sources and turning it into actionable data for military operators and decision makers.
In 2015, intense method actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto became the proud new owner of Lookout Mountain Air Force Station, a 100,000 square foot installation built in 1941 as a World War II air defense center intended to coordinate radar installations in the Los Angeles area. Yes, for a cool $5 million, you too could dream of owning a facility once used by the United States Department of Defense and the Atomic Energy Commission.
The Army has been on a push to gain what it calls agile or flexible funding for a small portfolio of capabilities as a pilot effort to be more adaptive to the battlefield.
Those initial areas include drones, counter-unmanned aerial systems and electronic warfare. The commercial drone sector is pretty well established, however, what is less clear is how such flexible funding would look for electronic warfare, where to date, most systems have been exquisitely designed and purpose-built for the military.
During the post-9/11 wars, the US military came as close to perfecting near-immediate trauma care on the battlefield as the chaos of combat would allow.
No matter how a soldier was injured, if a medic was nearby, the odds were in their favor. Air superiority, MEDEVAC helicopters, Combat Support Hospitals, and Forward Surgical Teams meant combat casualties had a good chance to meet “the golden hour” — the race to get a trauma patient into an operating room within 60 minutes.
But as the wars dragged on, evidence came in that perhaps the Golden Hour wasn’t the ideal measure.
China has “the world’s leading hypersonic missile arsenal” that can threaten U.S. Navy ships, according to the Defense Department’s most recent report on Chinese military power.
Hypersonic weapons fly at between five and 10 times the speed of sound, and their ability to change course mid-flight makes it difficult to shoot them down.

The Silicon Valley-headquartered Defense Innovation Unit is on the hunt for commercially available uncrewed underwater vehicles with “exceptional range,” according to officials.
DIU issued a solicitation to vendors this week via its commercial solutions opening acquisition pathway for a “combat autonomous maritime platform.” The move comes as the Navy is pursuing Project 33 and other initiatives to beef up its fleet with robotic platforms and prepare for a potential war with China in the Pacific region.
