Could this be the British Army’s next 4×4? 🇬🇧🚙
We go inside the Ineos factory in Warwickshire for the official launch of Team Grenadier – a consortium bidding to replace the British military’s iconic Land Rover fleet.
With around 5,000 Land Rovers being retired, the Armed Forces are looking for a new light mobility vehicle by 2030. Ineos is going up against major contenders including GM Defense and Jaguar Land Rover.
We take a closer look at the military-spec Grenadier, including an armoured prototype designed to provide protection against high-velocity rounds and artillery shrapnel.
The contenders are due to deliver demonstration vehicles to the Ministry of Defence in October, with a decision on the replacement for the Land Rover expected next year.
Could the Grenadier be the Land Rover’s successor? Let us know what you think in the comments.
