The Princess Royal met with the British Army’s first all-female Transatlantic Rowing Team, Force Atlantic, at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. The historic crew completed the 3,000-mile ‘World’s Toughest Row’ from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean in 46 days and 55 minutes—unsupported and undaunted.
Princess Anne spoke with the team about their extraordinary journey across the Atlantic, the challenges they faced, and the Army values that carried them through. Despite little rowing experience, their discipline, resilience, and support network led them to finish 18th overall and second among female teams.
Catherine Braizer reports.
