The government will choose between Boeing’s F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet, and Dassault Aviation’s Rafale M fighters, Navy head Admiral R. Hari Kumar said on Friday, adding that the Rafale M shares support and replacement parts with the Air Force.
“The government will make the decision… Each aircraft is good. They have proven their worth. Undoubtedly there will be additional concerns, such as the fact that the Air Force already has Rafales. There will be a commonality of support and replacement parts, etc. “Each has its own strengths and shortcomings,” Adm.

Sergeant First Class Cashe Background
SFC Alwyn Cashe was a highly decorated Army veteran. He served America with distinction in various military campaigns. Born in Sanford, Florida, in 1970, he joined the Army after completing high school and served in the Gulf War and the Kosovo Defense Campaign.
However, his final deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom would earn him the Medal of Honor.
The United States maintains a continuous bomber presence in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to enhance security among its regional allies and maintain an effective deterrent among its enemies. The continuous bomber presence deploys aircraft from all across the United States, including the normally reliable (and expensive) B-2 Spirit, America’s stealth bomber.
The only time a B-2 Bomber has ever crashed, it was during this continuous mission. It crashed shortly after takeoff from Andersen Air Force Base on Guam, and resulted in the entire continuous bomber operation being temporarily halted.
In 2016, American and Canadian embassy workers in Havana, Cuba, began reporting sudden cases of chronic headaches, ringing in the ears, vertigo and nausea, among other symptoms of illness. From there, American diplomatic personnel have reported similar symptoms elsewhere around the world, though the illness was still known as “Havana Syndrome.”
U.S. troops, spies and diplomats have reported the symptoms in places like Colombia, Vietnam, and 94 other countries.
Combat dogs are often thought of as German Shepherds or Belgian Malinois. However, a Yorkshire Terrier named Smoky also served on the frontlines of the South Pacific during WWII. She even went on to be recognized as the first recorded therapy dog by Animal Planet.
Smoky was an exceptional dog (Yank Magazine/Bill Wynne)
In February 1944, Smoky was found by an American GI in a foxhole on New Guinea. Interestingly, the fully-grown Yorkie didn’t understand commands in English or Japanese and her origin remained a mystery. Smoky was sold to Army Air Force Cpl. William A.
The Russian “Freedom Media” website published an article analyzing which new technologies and equipment the Russian army will adopt in the upcoming spring offensive. At the same time, new equipment is expected to be continuously installed in Russian troops in the early summer of this year.
The first is the use of advanced air defense systems. The limited role of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the Russia-Ukraine conflict has generally surprised Western military experts.
The fate of Section 702 is the latest fight between the Biden Administration and the new Republican House of Representatives. It’s a surveillance program aimed at foreign nationals outside the United States to collect information on potential attacks against the United States and its allies, targeting everything from terrorism to counterintelligence.
First launched in 2008, the domestic surveillance program is scheduled to sunset on Dec. 31, 2023.
Bruce Lee introduced the West to “the way of the fist” and Chuck Norris made the round-house kick (in Wranglers and cowboy boots!) legendary. Neither of these individuals invented their signature techniques, but they certainly made them famous. In similar fashion, knife-hand awareness has increased tremendously over the last two decades with contributions ranging from modern legends such as General Mattis, to your run-of-the-mill bro-vet.
The Army is looking at several possible architectural alterations as it begins designing its tactical network for the division level instead of brigade formations, as part of the larger structural shift in the service.
The build, slated for 2025, will be the first to focus on the division holistically as the Army sets its sights on nation-states and shifts to the division as the main unit of action rather than the brigade, as it was during the global war on terrorism.
