The US Army has carried out the maiden small uncrewed aircraft system (sUAS) prototype test under the Tranche 2 (T2) short-range reconnaissance (SRR) effort.
This prototype testing was held at Fort Benning, Georgia, US.
The demonstration was executed by the Project Manager Unmanned Aircraft Systems’ (PM UAS) Soldier UAS (SUAS) Product Office in close collaboration with the US Army’s Maneuver Battle Lab and Army Test and Evaluation Command.

Swedish company Saab has secured a new order to provide additional ammunition for the Lithuanian Armed Forces’ Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle systems.
The contract is valued at approximately $13.862m (Skr145m).
It has been awarded by the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence’s (MND) procurement arm Defence Materiel Agency.

Ammunition delivery to the Lithuanian forces is expected to commence from next year.

The White House has so far ruled out calls to provide the Ukrainian government with F-16 fighter jets, but clearly the idea is still on the table and Biden may be close to pulling the trigger amid intense administration discussions.
“Two Ukrainian pilots are currently in the United States undergoing an assessment to determine how long it could take to train them to fly attack aircraft, including F-16 fighter jets, according to two congressional officials and a senior U.S. official,” a weekend NBC report indicates.

General Atomics is thinking about making their MQ-9B SkyGuardian relevant in future wars with a serious enemy and has now presented a new concept of using this UAV as a launch platform for cruise missiles, The War Zone reports.
The artistic concept of such a modification – an MQ-9B drone with Norwegian-American Joint Strike Missile (JSM) cruise missiles was presented at the Avalon air show in Australia. In addition to the JSM missiles, the drone is also on display with a maritime search radar under the fuselage and two Sledgehammer electronic warfare pods under the UAV’s wings.

Despite its alleged neutrality, there is evidence that Serbia has provided as many as 3,500 Grad rockets to Ukraine. According to Ukraine Arms Tracker, the rockets being delivered to Ukraine are the ER Grad 2000 version, with a maximum range of 40 kilometers instead of the standard 20 kilometers. If the authorities in Belgrade knew this, it would be a significant violation of the country’s declared policy, one reaffirmed by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on multiple occasions.

Argentina and Egypt are interested in buying Tejas-type multi-role aircraft from India. Egypt expresses a desire for 15 such machines, Argentina for 20 machines, says the head of the Indian state corporation Hindustan Aeronautics Limited CC Ananthakrishnan, according to the results of the Aero India 2023 exhibition.
A team from the Argentine Air Force is currently in the country to learn more about the Tejas, and a contract is likely “in the near future.” Before signing a contract, Egypt would like to ensure that Tejas will be maintained within the capabilities of its own military sector.
