Earlier this month, an A-10C Warthog ground attack jet arrived at the boneyard at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. This jet is the first to head into retirement in years and is part of a batch of 21 the U.S. Air Force expected to divest in the coming months. This is in line with the service’s desire to retire all of its Warthogs before the end of the decade, an effort that is now starting to move ahead after years of members of Congress blocking such plans.

The FBI has arrested Airman 1st Class Jack Douglas Teixeira, 21, in connection with a massive data leak that has exposed classified information about Ukraine, Russia, and other countries.
Traditional military parades due to take place next month have been suspended in Crimea for security reasons, according to Sergey Aksyonov, the Russian politician who has served as head of Russian-annexed Crimea since 2014.
In a statement on his Telegram channel on Wednesday, Aksyonov said authorities in both Crimea and Sevastopol have decided not to hold parades or marches to mark Victory Day on May 9.
Marches on Labor Day, on May 1, have also been suppressed in the area. The move comes as Ukraine has signaled that it intends to recapture Crimea as part of its counteroffensive efforts.
