Hydra 70 Rockets

This week, the White House released the details of its latest $300 million defense aid package for Ukraine, which will be pulled from already existing, although dwindling, Pentagon stockpiles. This package includes the Hydra-70 rocket for the first time. The rockets are unguided missiles that are usually air-to-ground and fired from an aircraft.
Also authorized for this package were more artillery rounds and projectiles for HIMARS rocket systems as well as additional Howitzers.

The Virginia-class submarines are designed to conduct a variety of mission sets, including anti-submarine warfare. The Block V can do more.

The scenario of a conflict between China and the United States over Taiwan becomes more tangible with the passage of time, and both countries prepare to protect their interests. But is sending US aircraft carriers to China really a viable strategy or suicide?
China and the United States: the tension grows
The US commitment to Taiwan’s independence runs counter to the Chinese Communist Party’s desire to annex the island. If war broke out, the US Navy and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLAN) Navy would be the main forces fighting.

In April, another Helikopter 14 (Swedish designation NH90–Ed.) of the tactical transport helicopter operational model was delivered to the Swedish Armed Forces and the Luleå helicopter flotilla.
This takes place as part of the Retrofit program, a project in which several Helikopter 14s undergo modifications to reach their full capacity and equipment level.
FMV has previously delivered 18 Helikopter 14s to the Armed Forces, eleven of which are so-called provisional variants.

The EU’s foreign policy chief is warning Moscow not to use the alleged attack to escalate the war in Ukraine.
The United States was not responsible for Russia’s claims that it launched a drone strike on the Kremlin, the White House said on Thursday.
Without providing any evidence, Moscow has alleged that Ukraine’s drone strike was an effort to kill Russian President Vladimir Putin. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s spokesman, has also asserted, without providing any evidence, that the United States was behind the attack.

Last month, when China sailed one of its two active aircraft carriers, the Shandong, east of Taiwan, during military exercises around the island, it demonstrated a skill it has not yet mastered and may take years to perfect.
The United States and its allies are worried about China’s growing military power, particularly its missile forces and other naval warships like cutting-edge cruisers. Four military attachés and six defense analysts acquainted with regional naval operations estimate that China will need more than a decade to construct a credible aircraft carrier threat off its coasts.

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) welcomes two new Gripen fighters, thus expanding its fleet of next-generation combat aircraft.
Brazil: Air Force receives more fighters
The FAB confirms the arrival of two Saab Gripen fighters, FAB registration numbers 4105 and 4106, which arrived by sea at the port of Navegantes on May 5. Like their predecessors, they will be transported by ground to the local airport for commissioning before heading to the Gripen Flight Test Center (GFTC) in Gavião Peixoto, Sao Paulo.

The Department of Defense and National Science Foundation are jointly funding a new research institute dedicated to better understanding functions of the human brain and how they could could influence the designs of artificial intelligence.
Called the AI Institute for Artificial and Natural Intelligence (ARNI), the new effort will bring together researchers from across the country to discover the connections between neuroscience, cognitive science and artificial intelligence, according to an NSF announcement.

In response to recent terrorist threats, the Indian Navy will deploy MARCOS and NSG “black cat” commandos during the upcoming G-20 meetings in Srinagar, Kashmir.

MARCOS commandos, specialized in maritime operations, and elite NSG commandos will join local and foreign security forces to ensure the protection of international dignitaries at the event.
