An Air Force Major from Philadelphia was killed this week in a vehicle accident at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Pentagon officials said on Thursday that Major Stephen Khou, 36, died May 24. He was in Kuwait supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
Khou was assigned to the 32nd Weapons Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, which specializes is and teaches cyber warfare.
Khou’s death marks at least the fourth US military member killed in a non-combat accident in Kuwait since 2020.

The British Government is negotiating the purchase of another batch of 26 F-35B Lightning II stealth fighters, bringing the number of aircraft purchased to 74. The Royal Air Force (RAF) currently has 26 of these aircraft in service.
Delivery of the first batch of 48 stealth fighters will not be finalized until 2025, but the British government is already in talks with the F-35 Joint Projects Office (JPO) to purchase the 26 new aircraft.

Hundreds of thousands of South Korean artillery shells are on their way to Ukraine via the United States, following Seoul’s initial resistance to arming Ukraine, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The Journal, citing unnamed sources, claimed that Seoul reached a “confidential agreement” with Washington to transfer the shells to the US for delivery to Ukraine after Washington asked its Asian ally for artillery support in 2022.
Jeon Ha-kyu, a spokesman for the South Korean Defense Ministry, said Thursday that the ministry has held talks with the Pentagon about ammunition exports.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Olexii Reznikov recently released a photo of a modified Ukrainian Su-24 Fencer aircraft fitted with the British Storm Shadow missile. In what may be the first direct admission, a modified Fencer is being used as a missile carrier for newly acquired long-range missiles.

The Ministry reported that at 0530 hours, the armed forces of Ukraine tried to attack Ivan Khurs, a Russian surveillance ship, using three unmanned speedboats. However, they did not succeed, and the Russian Khurs’ weaponry destroyed all three boats.
