The
following list attempts to keep track of military equipment
delivered or pledged to Ukraine by Spain during the 2022 Russian invasion of
Ukraine. The entries below are sorted by armament category (with a flag
denoting the country of origin). Due to the confidential nature of Spain’s arms deliveries they can serve only as a lower bound to the total
volume of weaponry delivered. This list will be updated as further military support is uncovered or declared.
 

* Purchases by the Ukrainian government from Spanish defence companies.

Germany’s parliament (Bundestag) has decided to withdraw the German Armed Forces’ (Bundeswehr) participation from the United Nations (UN) Multi-dimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission (MINUSMA) in Mali.
The phase-out mandate will stagger the redeployment of German forces in Mali by the end of May 2024. 
This withdrawal from Mali will take place in a gradual and structured manner, in close consultation with the UN, starting from 1 June 2023 until 31 May 2024. 

Following this mandate, the German government is now focusing on the protection of deployed German contingent.

Swedish rugged electronics and IT products provider MilDef will continue the supply of military IT solutions to the Norwegian Defense Material Agency (NDMA).
MilDef has extended its framework agreement with NDMA to extend its existing contract by two years.
The contract was originally signed in May 2020 and was supposed to run until 2023. The extension allows the company to continue supplying products to the organisation until 2025.

The original three-year agreement included two extension options, each spanning two years. This is the first extension under the agreement.

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) soldiers have recently carried out a company-level urban operations exercise, called Septimus Stride 2023.
The exercise involved participation of soldiers from the Australian Army’s 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (1 RAR).
As part of this training activity, the participating unit battled other enemy role players to take the control of a port infrastructure.

The soldiers practiced clearance of a complex urban environment, which was located near Townsville in Queensland, Australia.

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has announced the new classified 2023 DoD Cyber Strategy to further advance the defence priorities of the nation.
The DoD transmitted this strategy to the US government last week.
The department will also launch an unclassified summary of this strategy in the upcoming months.

The new strategy supports 2023 National Cybersecurity Strategy and is a part of the 2022 National Security Strategy (NSS) and the 2022 National Defense Strategy (NDS).
It aims to operationalise the concepts and defence objectives for cyberspace specified under the 2022 NDS.
