The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) has notified Congress of a potential sale of high mobility artillery rocket systems (HIMARS) to the Netherlands.
The estimated cost of the foreign military sale is $670m.
The agency has delivered the required certification for the sale, which has also been approved by the US State Department.

As NATO warns that its stockpiles of artillery munitions are running low, the U.S. military is attempting to train Ukrainian forces to change how they fight in order to conserve shells. The term non-kinetic effects, in U.S. military parlance, generally refers to digital capabilities or tools that don’t fall under the traditional weapons portfolio of physical objects. The Polish Government’s intention to acquire 116 M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks (MBTs) looks to be filtering down into the US industrial base.
The Polish intention to strengthen its MBT fleet follows a 16 February contract award to US-based defence firm, General Dynamics, to conduct turret armour swaps with Polish foreign military sale funding.
The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced Poland’s intention to procure these MBTs in December 2022. The agency stated that the deal would cost the Polish government an estimated $3.75bn.

Indian firm TurboTech Defence & Aerospace Pvt Ltd has displayed an air cycle machine (ACM) for cooling electronic countermeasure (ECM) pods and an air compressor for Tatra military trucks at the Aero India 2023 show in Bangalore, held from 13 to 17 February.
The ACM provides 3.5 kW of cooling and can reduce the temperature inside the pod by -30° during operation.
