Top Zelensky officials are considering a potential ‘strategic pullback’ from the beleaguered eastern city of Bakhmut. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has admitted that he is not prepared to order the continued defense of the city at all costs. Both Ukraine and Russia are suffering tremendous casualties in the fight for the city, but Russia has superior artillery fire, which it has been using nonstop around the clock. The city is almost completely surrounded by Russian troops.

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) has decided against acquiring 16 light helicopters to support special forces operations, Major General Stephen Jobson, the commander of the Australian Army’s Aviation Command, has disclosed.
Speaking to journalists at the Avalon 2023 international airshow on 1 March, Maj Gen Jobson said that project Land 2097 Phase 4 had been cancelled owing to forthcoming overlapping capabilities.

Russia has delivered the third S-400 Triumf self-propelled surface-to-air missile (SAM) system to the Indian Air Force (IAF), a senior defence official told Janes on 2 March.

AeroVironment’s Jump 20 medium uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) has been selected for the US Army’s Future Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (FTUAS) Programme Increment (Inc) 2.
The company announced its selection via a media release on 1 March.
Following its selection, AeroVironment will compete with four other vendors, including Northrop Grumman Systems, Sierra Nevada, Textron Systems, and Griffon Aerospace, for the programme.

The multi-phased FTUAS programme will allow the army to select the best possible solution for the Brigade Combat Teams (BCTs).
