A Russian warship named “Admiral Gorshkov” was seen in a Saudi Arabian port, where it docked for the first time since diplomatic relations with Iran were restored. According to Arab News, the warship refueled and rested for two days at the port of Jeddah on its way back from South Africa to Russia.
Admiral Gorshkov will travel to Syria.

A U.S. Army Special Forces veteran was sentenced to more than 80 months in prison this week after being convicted on multiple charges including possession of classified military intelligence. 
Jeremy Brown, a veteran of the U.S. Army who served for 20 years before retiring in 2012 as a master sergeant, was sentenced on Thursday, April 6 to seven years and three months by U.S. District Judge Susan Bucklew. The Tampa resident was convicted in December for six counts.

North Korea said the Haeil-2 underwater nuclear strike vehicle traveled 1,000 kilometers during this week’s test.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on April 8 that the North Korean National Defense Science Research Institute tested the Haeil-2 underwater nuclear attack unmanned vehicle on April 4-7. This strategic weapon can create “radioactive tsunamis” that destroy ships and shore targets.

“A missile launched from Ukraine was shot down while flying over Feodosiya,” Sergei Aksyonov, the head of the Crimean government appointed by Russia, announced on April 8.
