New satellite imagery of an ammunition and explosives storage site just to the west of the Ukrainian city of Khmelnitsky show that most of the installation has been wiped off the map. Yesterday, videos emerged showing an absolutely gigantic fireball rising over the outskirts of Khmelnitsky. The destruction was clearly caused by a series of huge secondary explosions. Now we know for certain that it was indeed this site.

Ukraine reportedly intercepted three Russian long-range missiles and 25 suicide drones but did not disclose the total number of weapons deployed by Moscow.
“Russian forces at dawn on May 14 attacked Ukraine from many directions with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Kalibr cruise missiles launched from warships in the Black Sea and Kh-55/101/555 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bomber,” the Ukrainian Air Force Command said in a statement.

The Army test fires a Patriot missile in a recent test. (U.S. Army).

A week after Ukraine claimed it shot down a Russian hypersonic missile with a Patriot system, the United States is confirming it. More so, the hypersonic weapon was targeting the Patriot missile system that shot it down. 
The incident occurred on May 4. CNN first reported the details of the shootdown, citing two American officials. Per CNN, Russian forces targeted one Patriot system, using the very radar signature the weapon uses in order to identify incoming attacks.

After months of fighting in and around the besieged city of Bakhmut, Ukrainian forces have retaken ground on the city’s flanks as a Russian unit made a hasty retreat.
In its latest assessment, the Institute for the Study of War (@TheStudyOfWar) noted signs indicate local Ukrainian counterattacks to the northwest and southwest of the city, retaking about 17 square kilometers.
