The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II, better known as the Warthog, is a famously capable close-air support platform. Boasting a low stall speed, durable airframe, and ability to operate from short and/or unpaved runways, the Warthog is the only production-built aircraft flown by the U.S. Air Force that was designed specifically for the CAS mission.

Despite a major push by the military and Department of Veterans Affairs to address and reduce suicide among former service members in 2022, the number of veteran suicides that year did not drop.
6,407 veterans killed themselves in 2022, three more than in 2021, according to a new report released by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The findings looked at information from 2022, the most recent year that data was available. Although an increase, it is a far smaller increase year over year compared to 2021, which saw 114 more suicides than in 2020, ending two years of declining numbers.

The U.S. military’s youngest branch, Space Force, turned five years old on Friday. Like other young institutions it’s spent its time rapidly growing, building up the number of guardians, rapidly launching a large array of satellites into orbit and winning Call of Duty tournaments. In its latest move, Space Force is taking aim at enemy space ships and satellites with a new ground-based jamming system, which according to reports, work like endless, loud, annoying screams.
