The Army is relocating five 83-year-old barracks to make room for new officer quarters and as a way to save money. 
“This barracks relocation costs less than building new,” Tonya Townsell, a spokesperson for Fort McCoy told Task & Purpose.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is about to drop the hammer on retired Gen. Mark Milley, Trump’s former chairman of the joint chiefs of staff and one of the president’s favorite rhetorical punching bags. In addition to pulling Milley’s security clearance and yanking his personal security detail, Hegseth will also ask the Pentagon’s inspector general to investigate his conduct, and the probe could end in Milley receiving a demotion, Fox News reported Tuesday.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Military contractor L3Harris is modifying one of its ground-based drone defense platforms for the maritime domain in an effort to thwart low-cost systems with other low-cost systems.
The company has sought to outfit its Vehicle Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment (VAMPIRE) to small unmanned surface vessels, Jon Rambeau, who leads the Integrated Mission Systems business at L3Harris, said in an interview at the annual WEST conference in San Diego.
