Houthi rebels in Yemen fired on a U.S. military F-35 during recent operations, and the missile came close enough to the aircraft for the pilot to take evasive action, a U.S. official confirmed to Task & Purpose.
The incident was first reported in the New York Times as part of a story about why President Donald Trump decided to end air and missile strikes against the Houthis earlier this month. 
No further information was immediately available about just how close the F-35 may have come to being hit by Houthi air defenses.

Estonia’s government is actively tracking the “shadow fleet” of vessels operated covertly by Russia that has been causing problems in the Baltic Sea over the last year and posing serious environmental risks for the region, Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said Monday.
Pevkur hosted a small group of journalists at the Embassy of Estonia in Washington while he was in town for a two-day visit with his American counterparts and lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

The electromagnetic spectrum arsenal serves as a set of exploits in the radio frequency sense, that can be loaded on platforms for a set of targets. Troy Meink is set to become the new civilian leader for the Air and Space Forces after being confirmed by the Senate on Tuesday.
Senators voted 74-25 to approve Meink as the 27th Secretary of the Air Force, making him the third and final of President Donald Trump’s service secretary nominees to be confirmed during his second term.
In his new role, Meink will be the top civilian official for the Department of the Air Force — which also includes the Space Force — as it undertakes a wide range of modernization efforts.
