The Russian Armed Forces have conducted a test launch of the country’s longest range missile ever developed, the 9M730 Burevestnik cruise missile, with Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov reporting that this occurred on October 21, and saw the missile cover a 14,000 kilometre distance over 15 hours. “The technical characteristics of the missile allow it to strike highly protected targets anywhere in the world with guaranteed accuracy,” he stated.

The Marine Corps is working on building out its logistics capabilities abroad, aiming to better resupply and sustain forces in the Pacific in the event of conflict. That’s according to the latest Marine Corps Force Design update, which outlined the service’s priorities as it marks the halfway point of a decade-long overhaul.

The Air Force opened an investigation after one of its new special operations plane, converted from a crop duster, crashed in a field in Oklahoma City shortly after take off.
The Oklahoma Air National Guard confirmed that one of Air Force Special Operation Command’s OA-1K Skyraider II’s crashed Thursday afternoon. The plane took off from Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma City, carrying one active-duty airman from the 492nd Special Operations Wing and a civilian contractor. Both crewmembers were unhurt, according to the Air Force.
