MI5’s first public exhibition peels back the secrets of espionage – including the 110-year-old lemon used by a WW1 German spy for invisible ink messages.
It was found in the draw of German spy Karl Muller when arrested in 1915 for spying for Germany.
He used the lemon juice to write in invisible ink and send details of British Troop formations back to Germany.
