More than 300 soldiers have been putting their fitness and military skills to the test with the return of Race the Sun – a tough physical challenge.
The annual Royal Signals event started as an inter-squadron competition in 1990, allowing soldiers to demonstrate their athletic talents and enjoy the Yorkshire countryside.
Hosted by 2 Signals Regiment, this year saw the personnel compete against each other in various events including cross-country running, mountain biking, orienteering and a stretcher race.
