China has taken a major leap in naval aviation. 🚢✈️
For the first time, its most advanced aircraft carrier Fujian has successfully launched three different aircraft using an electromagnetic catapult (EMALS) — a technology previously only operated by the United States.
The tests saw China’s J-35 stealth fighter, J-15T fighter, and KJ-600 early warning aircraft take off using this next-generation system. Unlike traditional steam catapults, EMALS is faster, more efficient, and easier to maintain — capable of launching an aircraft every 45 seconds.
With this breakthrough, China joins an exclusive club in modern carrier technology, showcasing a capability once unique to the US Navy’s USS Gerald R. Ford.
