These tank traps are also known as Czech Hedgehogs, and their use dates back to the 1930s. Here’s how they work.

TOKYO, JAPAN – The US F-35 fighter with a key role in policing the Asia Pacific will be armed with a new anti-ship missile. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force [JASDF] will mount the Norwegian Joint Strike Missile [JSM] on their F-35s at external or internal stations.
The JSM is a rocket manufactured by the Norwegian company Kongsberg. Information about such integration became known years ago when Japan agreed to order this type of missile.
Tokyo signed a contract to acquire the JSM in two stages: in 2019 and 2020. It is known that Japan will pay about 42 million dollars for this purchase.
Undoubtedly, the arrival of Abrams’s main battle tanks in Ukraine will have a major impact on several key aspects. However, a true ability to “recapture” and “hold” territory previously held by Russian forces will likely require far more heavy armor than the small number of tanks on the way.
Although more tanks are expected to arrive over time, Ukraine will likely need more “mass” and “wide area maneuvers” to succeed in a full-scale counter-invasion or to “retake” large territories in areas where they quarrel.
ANKARA, TURKEY – Turkey has begun to write a new chapter in its modern military history. Turkey’s original military aircraft, the National Fighter Aircraft [MMU in Turkish] TAI TF-X, has started taxiing tests. The TF-X, which took to the track with its own engines, successfully completed the test.
The Turkish National Fighter Aircraft project, initiated by the Defense Industries Presidency [SSB] and executed by the main contractor TAI, is progressing successfully.
The South Korean Government has reportedly given the military permission to purchase additional fifth-generation stealth fighters and has also started acquiring the SM-6 ship-launched interceptor.
DAPA, or the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, said that the Defense Programs Promotion Committee had authorized a $2.85 billion plan to purchase additional Lockheed Martin F-35A fighter fighters. It is expected that South Korea will acquire the blueprints in the year 2028.
Sovereignty is complex, making transmitting even between close partners with strongly aligned interests difficult. Multi-nation projects are notoriously difficult to pull off, as demonstrated by the difficulties encountered by Europe’s Eurofighter, A400M, and Main Ground Combat System (MGCS) programs.
The UK-led Global Combat Aircraft Program (GCAP) appears to be going remarkably well: tight schedules, ambitious technology targets, prestigious industry players, and new partner nations.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague on Friday issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. The ICC accused Putin of war crimes for the illegal deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children to the Russian Federation. The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for Maria Lvova-Belova, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, accusing her of the same war crimes.
