Germany takes command of the NATO Response Force (NRF) Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) on 1 January, the alliance announced on its website on 28 December.
Germany takes over the leadership of VJTF 2023 from France, which led the force in 2022 during its first ever collective defence mission − to Romania − following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on 24 February. The French-led VJTF 2022, including its Belgian contingent, formed the basis for the NATO enhanced Vigilance Activity battlegroup in Romania.

The Argentine Ministry of Defense (MoD) on 27 December signed a contract with the Israeli MoD’s Directorate of International Defense Cooperation to buy Uvision’s Hero-120 and Hero-30 loitering munitions.
Argentine Defence Minister Jorge Taiana and head of the Israeli directorate Yair Kulas signed the contract.

Russia’s invasion on Feb. 24 prompted an influx of Western military aid to Ukraine, creating an opportunity for the Pentagon and industry to see how new U.S.-made capabilities can perform on the battlefield.
In total, the Biden administration has provided more than $20 billion in security assistance to Kyiv since the start of the war. Four organizations were recently awarded contracts for the Signature Management using Operational Knowledge and Environments program overseen by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
The SMOKE program aims to develop signature management technologies and automate threat-emulated infrastructure in order to provide realistic simulations of threats for a more holistic network picture.
The organizations that landed contracts for the effort include BlackHorse Solutions, Inc.

Due to its adoption of the Biden administration’s progressive woke policies, the military is now struggling to meet recruiting goals across all branches. While the military has already raised the maximum age to join, it still struggles to find enough volunteers. In what seems almost as an act of desperation, the military is now accepting people who have had behavioral issues, such as ADHD.
