“Shortfalls” in the Department of Defense’s cyber posture can be attributed to the rapid loss of talent to private industry, according to the Pentagon’s chief weapons tester.
The recently released fiscal 2022 annual report of the Office of the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation asserts that “the DOD’s abilities to assess against Red Teams portraying nation state adversaries remain limited due to persistent resource and personnel shortfalls,” adding “[a]nother persistent shortfall in the DOD’s cyber posture is the lack of adequate cyber test capabilities.

Lockheed Martin company Sikorsky has achieved a milestone with the delivery of the 5,000th ‘Hawk’ variant helicopter to the US military.
The helicopter is a US Army UH-60M Black Hawk aircraft, which will be deployed to conduct military and civil operations worldwide.
Program Executive Office Aviation utility helicopter project manager colonel Calvin Lane said: “For more than 40 years, the Black Hawk has remarkably supported soldiers in every major contingency operation the army has executed.
The program “is part of the overarching effort of the Navy to size, shape, and stabilize the force,” the Navy’s chief personnel officer said.
