Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) said it will start delivery of 10 Light Armed Helicopters
to the South Korean army from December 2024.

The South Korean government has signed a KRW302 billion (USD236 million) deal with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to acquire the company’s Light Armed Helicopter (LAH).
KAI announced the deal on 23 December. Under the conditions of the contract, KAl will supply the Republic of Korea (RoK) Army with 10 LAH units, starting in December 2024.

The Russian military forces have been carrying out ’round-the-clock’ exercises to position its new S-300V anti-ballistic missile defence system, reported Reuters, citing Russian news agency Interfax’s report.
According to the report, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of the Russian Federation claimed that this positioning work is being carried out by the troops to repel any potential enemy air strike incidents, including the missile attacks from Ukrainian Armed Forces.

South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has signed a KRW345 billion (USD270 million) contract with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an airborne mine countermeasures (AMCM) system for the Republic of Korea Navy (RoKN).
Development of the project will be conducted over 47 months, said KAI.
