Elbit Systems UK has been awarded a contract to provide its Magni-X micro uncrewed aircraft system (UAS) for the UK Armed Forces.
The contract has been awarded by the UK Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) procurement arm Defence Equipment & Support, under its Future Capability Group.
Procurement of this micro-UAS also falls under the British Army’s Human Machine Teaming framework.
The contract will see the delivery of service-ready Magni-X systems to the British Army.
The French Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) has placed an order with MBDA to procure 200 Akeron MP medium-range missiles for the French Armed Forces.
The order was awarded in compliance with the French Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) military programming law (LPM) 2019-25.
The anti-tank missiles are being procured as part of DGA-MBDA joint efforts to invest in the upstream research and technology studies to modernise the ground forces’ capability.

Germany’s Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck has publicly come out in favor of approving requests from other countries, such as Poland, to send German-made Leopard 2 main battle tanks to Ukraine. The terms of the original sales of those tanks give officials in Berlin the authority to block foreign transfers, but they have been under very active political pressure from allies in recent weeks to allow them to proceed.
Habeck’s comments come a day after Polish President Andrzej Duda publicly declared his government’s intention to transfer Leopard 2s to Ukraine.
The Navy’s three-week Digital Horizon event to experiment with and integrate new unmanned and artificial intelligence platforms last month provided the military with “a visible demonstration of the promise and the power of very rapid tech innovation and discovery in fleet operations,” according to Vice Adm.
