For much of the 20th Century after the Korean War, the people of South Korea watched footage of North Korean military parades with a sense of fear. The North projected so much weaponry and manpower that most believed a war with North Korea would see the South overrun by communist troops. In 2021, that opinion changed. 
South Koreans are still regularly exposed to footage of North Korean military parades, as they happen many times per year.

The Republican-led House in the US Congress could raise questions into the value of continued support to Ukraine and further calls for European states to increase their own contributions to Kyiv in its fight against Russia, according to GlobalData analysis.
The topic emerged as a leading issue in the US mid-term elections in Q4 last year, with the US having contributed more than $24bn in military support to Ukraine, although the breakdown of direct assistance versus recapitalisation of US munitions stocks and armoured vehicle fleets is unknown.

Russia’s state TASS has announced that the Russian navy will be participating along with China and South Africa in joint naval exercises beginning in February off the coast of South Africa.
