The Indian Army put on an impressive show of firepower on Sunday at the huge field firing range in Maharashtra’s Devlali. They used their own artillery guns, rocket systems, ammunition, and weapons along the disputed Line of Actual Control (LAC), where the Indian and Chinese armies have been fighting for more than 32 months.
Several big guns were used in the spectacular display of the Army’s capabilities, code-named “Exercise Topchi-2023,” by the prestigious School of Artillery.

The Type 23 frigate HMS Somerset is in line to become the first UK Royal Navy (RN) ship to receive the Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace Naval Strike Missile (NSM).
Replacing the ageing Harpoon Block 1C surface-to-surface guided weapon, which will be retired from service in December this year, NSM is being procured as part of the RN’s Maritime Offensive Surface Strike programme.

With its Aerojet Rocketdyne scramjet, the Lockheed Martin version of the missile capped a program that accomplished all of its initial objectives.
It was the last flight test for HAWC, which gave the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) important information to help it improve hypersonic technology.
The Lockheed Martin missile flew again faster than Mach 5, higher than 60,000 feet, and farther than 300 nautical miles.

Rheinmetall has announced the selection of the American Rheinmetall Vehicles and General Motors (GM) Defense consortium to support the US Army’s Common Tactical Truck (CTT) programme.
The collaboration was established last year to compete for the CTT programme. The team proposed their HX3 Common Tactical Truck (HX3-CTT) for this programme.
Apart from the American Rheinmetall-GM Defense team, other transaction authority (OTA) agreements have also been awarded to three other companies including Oshkosh Defense, Mack Defense, and Navistar Defense.

UK Defence Minister Ben Wallace and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Wigston presented the SkyGuardian at an event at the capability’s future homebase of RAF Waddington in September 2021. The Protector that is derived from the SkyGuardian will operate from 2024 to the “mid-2030s”, according to the MoD.

Australia and France have confirmed their intent to jointly provide 155mm ammunition to strengthen the self-defence capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The same was confirmed in a joint statement released after a second, recently held France-Australia Foreign and Defence Ministerial Consultations meeting in Paris.
