According to the latest UK Defense and Security Review, published in 2022, the Royal Air Force [RAF] is expected to dispose of 30 of its older Eurofighter [i.e., Tranche 1] aircraft by 2025.
London may reconsider its plans due to the war in Ukraine. The Defense Committee of the British Parliament does not rule out maintaining these 30 aircraft in service if they can be updated to the “tranche 3” [T3] level at an affordable cost. He wondered if BAE Systems, a Eurofighter consortium member with Airbus and Leonardo, would consider such an operation.

A new satellite image shows a Chinese air defense facility on the Paracel Islands. Analysts say that the People’s Liberation Army now has permanently-ready surface-to-air missiles in the two disputed archipelagos of the Sea from South China.
The Paracel Islands, or Xisha in Chinese, are claimed by China, Vietnam, and Taiwan but have been fully occupied by Beijing since 1974 after the Chinese Navy defeated the then-South Vietnamese Navy in a brief but bloody naval battle.

The UK is providing Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine to help them defend their homeland and retake territory.

The Navy, Marine Corps and FBI are working to recover what the Pentagon is calling “sensitive” Chinese technology from the high-altitude balloon that traversed across the North American continent this week.

The U.S. has shot down a Chinese surveillance balloon off the coast of South Carolina as multiple assets have entered the area to recover its debris.
The saga that began with the balloon’s appearance high above Billings, Montana, on February 1 reached its climax Saturday with an explosion and the balloon’s subsequent fall from high altitude. Videos of the shootdown showed an F-22 Raptor launching an air-to-air missile at the balloon for the kill. This would be the F-22’s first ‘kill.

It’s been a year since four Department of Defense (DOD) whistleblowers found a sudden increase in various diseases in the Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED), which coincided directly with the introduction of COVID-19 vaccinations. Now, new data shows more evidence.
That’s according to Lt. Col.Theresa Long, M.D., MPH, a board-certified aerospace medicine doctor and Army Brigade flight surgeon with specialty training as an aviation mishap investigator and safety officer, who was one of the four whistleblowers.

A balloon, which the Pentagon says is a Chinese surveillance asset, is currently heading along a southeasterly path across the United States. U.S. officials say they considered shooting it down on Wednesday but decided not to over safety concerns. Many are now clamoring for them to try again for a host of reasons, but even attempting to do so is far more complicated than it appears at first glance.
As of yesterday, the balloon was passing over Missouri. It has been soaring at an altitude of around 60,000 feet, according to the Pentagon.

Tomahawk Vs. Kalibr
Since the 1990s, the United States has relied on Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from their warships and submarines. The missile, with a flight capability of 550 miles per hour, has been involved in wars in the Middle East, North Africa, the former Yugoslavia, and Afghanistan.
The USS Merrill (DD-976), an American destroyer ship, launched the first cruise missile in March 1980. in June of the same year, the UGM 109, the underwater version of the Tomahawk system, ran an Armament test.
