Teledyne FLIR Defense has received a contract to expand the capabilities of the R80D SkyRaider uncrewed aerial system (UAS) in support of the US Army’s missions.
The contract has been awarded by the US Department of Defense (DoD) and is valued at approximately $13.3m.
Under this contract, the company will work to integrate new flight control software with the R80D platform, allowing the forces to autonomously operate the UAS for conducting chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) reconnaissance missions.

The Indonesian Ministry of Finance (MoF) has approved a request from the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) to procure unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) with foreign loans, and the country is evaluating suitable lenders for this.

The US State Department has approved a possible sale of High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) M142 launchers to Poland for an estimated price of $10 billion.
The price would include 18 HIMARS launchers and 468 launcher magazine module kits to be mounted on Polish trucks, according to Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak.

Iran’s secret underground air force installation, codenamed “Eagle 44,” was made public on Tuesday. According to IRNA, Iran’s state-run news agency, the first such site will house fighter jets equipped with long-range cruise missiles.
The photos show Iranian personnel and US-made F-4E Phantom II fighter bombers purchased before the 1979 revolution inside the facility.
Iran had already revealed its subterranean sites equipped with armed drones and ballistic missiles in official movies and photographs.
