nTSI, a joint venture (JV) between nou Systems, and Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI), has won a contract to support the US’ layered missile defence system.
Awarded by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Consolidated Support Directorate, the Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support (TEAMS)-Next Specialised Engineering Analyses (SEA) contract is valued at $637m.

The extended-range (ER) and dual-purpose improved conventional munition (DPICM) warhead versions of the surface-to-surface Pinaka Multi‐Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) have qualified for induction into the Indian Army.

Palantir Technologies has reported a 24% year-over-year (YoY) increase in total revenue to $1.91bn for fiscal year 2022, from $1.54bn in 2021.
The company also recorded an increase in US revenue by 32% to $1.16bn while the US government revenue rose by 22% to $826m.
Adjusted income from operations for the full year, which ended on 31 December 2022, was $421m, representing a 22% margin.

Palantir’s loss from operations stood at $161m. The latest figures represent an 8% margin.
Meanwhile, adjusted free cash flow and cash from operations were reported at $203m and $224m, respectively.

They started small, when on October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union successfully launched Sputnik I, the world’s first artificial satellite. It was about the size of a beach ball and had four antennae sticking out from it. It weighed just 83.6 kg (183.9 lbs) and took about 98 minutes to orbit Earth on its elliptical path.
Sputnik I made it possible to test satellite pressurisation, to study both radio wave transmission and the density of the atmosphere and allowed scientists to learn how to track objects in orbit.

Allison Transmission has confirmed the selection of its 4000 Specialty Series transmissions in support of the US Army’s Common Tactical Truck (CTT) programme.
The company’s fully automatic 4000 Series transmissions, designed specifically for heavy-duty vehicles, will be included in the CTT prototype platform being developed under the initial phase of the programme.
