The US Department of Defense (DoD) has announced it will deliver an additional military assistance package to support Ukrainian soldiers in their battle with Russia.
This was confirmed by Pentagon press secretary and US Air Force brigadier general Pat Ryder during a media briefing on 5 January.

Ryder said that the new tranche will include Bradley fighting vehicles, along with other military equipment.

Today, satellite-guided precision air-to-ground munitions are a familiar part of aerial warfare for the U.S. military and many of its allies and foes alike. The Joint Direct Attack Munition, or JDAM, is perhaps the best-known such weapon and is now almost ubiquitous, with a range of different versions available. Almost forgotten today, however, is its immediate precursor, the pioneering GPS Aided Munition, or GAM, the first weapon of its kind, which emerged from a quick-reaction program to provide more flexible conventional weapons options for the B-2A Spirit stealth bomber.

A video has emerged that reportedly shows an armed Mexican military light single-engine turboprop aircraft conducting a strafing run against elements of the Sinaloa Cartel in the city of Culiacán earlier today. In other footage, members of the cartel appear to be seen firing Barrett .50 caliber anti-materiel rifles and other small arms at unseen aircraft.

Ukraine will soon get a big boost to its armor arsenal as the U.S. will donate M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Germany will provide Marder Infantry Fighting Vehicles to fight Russia’s all-out invasion.

The Army recently awarded a task order to Microsoft to start developing a better version of the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) that is expected to improve how soldiers train and fight, the service announced Thursday.
The IVAS program is one of the Army’s highest-priority modernization initiatives for its soldier system portfolio. The technology includes a ruggedized augmented reality and heads-up display system based on Microsoft’s HoloLens 2 device.
