PARIS, FRANCE – In late 2022, the French DGA completed qualification testing of the AASM 1000 GS bomb and its support system. The bomb was developed by Safran Electronics & Defense under an 85 million euro contract awarded by the DGA in 2017.
The AASM 1000 consists of a guidance kit that uses GPS, an inertial system, and a [engine] kit that increases its range.

U.S. Marines at Camp Pendleton closed the base’s main gate Friday evening after a car rammed it in an attempt to get onto the base.
The incident happened at 6:30 p.m. on Jan 27. The Marine Corps confirmed that someone attempted to “gain unauthorized access to the installation.”
“The MCB Camp Pendleton Provost Marshall Office deployed the final denial barriers and disabled the vehicle,” base staff tweeted at 8:39 p.m.

The German arsenal of main battle tanks, which is barely around three hundred Leopard 2, will be further reduced with the announced deployment of units in Ukraine. This comes at a time when these weapons are again arousing the interest of Western arms procurement authorities.

Zunyi, the seventh Type 055 destroyer in the Chinese People’s Liberation Army [PLA] fleet, has made its first public appearance since commissioning. This is reported by the Chinese publication Global Times.
According to journalists, the newer ship was shown in a television report on the occasion of the Lunar New Year celebration in Zunyi, after which the destroyer is named.

They certainly are totally clueless on the history of the region.
