Saab has received a new order to continue providing support for the ground-based air defence (GBAD) systems currently in service with the Swedish Armed Forces.
The contract has been awarded by the Swedish Defence Material Administration (Försvarets materielverk – FMV).
It has an estimated value of approximately $16.49m (Skr170m). The company stated that this order was booked in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022.

The performance period of the new award is two years until 2025, and has an additional option to extend the contract for another three-year period.

India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has conducted a flight test of the Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV).

that the test was conducted from APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the northeastern coast of Odisha. However, the DRDO

did not confirm the test results.

Thales has been awarded a new contract to provide a complete short-range threat detection and air defence system for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 
The deal was finalised on 1 February at the company’s Limours facility located in the south of Paris, France.

It was signed by a Thales representative, French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu, and his Ukrainian counterpart Oleksii Reznikov.

The Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) has selected MBDA, rather than Raytheon, to provide the primary surface-to-air missile (SAM) for its new frigates, the US Department of Defense (DoD) confirmed on 31 January.
