The Colombian Navy (ARC) intends to deploy the new electric unmanned surface vehicle (USV) CotEnergy Boat in April, Admiral Francisco Cubides, commander of the ARC, told

Adm Cubides confirmed the deployment earlier this month after the USV – produced by Atomo Tech and Cotecmar – was operated during a demonstration at the Colombiamar 2023 naval fair, which was held from 8 to 10 March.
The navy demonstrated capabilities of the vessel to representatives of the different navies of the region.

While North Korea has been conducting smaller missile tests for days in response to the U.S. and South Korea holding their largest joint military exercises in several years, Pyongyang announced Monday that it launched a ballistic missile over the weekend as part of a simulated nuclear attack on South Korea.
According to state media, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the drill, which was held to push back “aggression” from the country’s enemies.

In an effort to reduce casualties on the modern battlefield, researchers at Edge Hill University have launched a new drone project powered by artificial intelligence (AI) for battlefield triage.
Project ATRACT, which stands for A Trustworthy Robotic Autonomous system to support Casualty Triage, is aiming to create an aerial drone that can aid and speed up triage in the crucial post-trauma minutes that shape survival chances on the battlefield.

The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced the revised in-service dates of the British Army’s Ajax armoured vehicle programme.
The MoD has further confirmed to resume payments to Ajax’s developer General Dynamics to expedite the delivery under the programme.
The payments have been withheld since December 2020, after ‘noise and vibration’ issues were reported in the vehicles.

The MoD is now providing an initial amount of £480m to resume the pending work. The vehicles are primarily assembled at General Dynamics’ Merthyr Tydfil facility.

MOSCOW, RUSSIA – Russian fighters have started using the new GROM-32 missile glide. This is apparent from various sources, including photographic evidence from the war in Ukraine. 
According to the manufacturer, the new ammunition is designed to arm all types of aircraft. This includes all Sukhoi and Mikoyan fighters, fighter-bombers such as the Su-34, as well as the Russian Su-57 stealth fighter. They can be attached to aircraft launchers or ejection devices, and not just external hardpoints, but internal compartments as well.

The vessel, which has been renamed KDB As-Siddiq with pennant number 95, was commissioned on 21 March at the RBN’s naval base in Muara, Brunei.
