The Pentagon’s latest plan for the F-35 stealth fighter includes putting a stop on deliveries this summer while it holds out for production jets with the required Technology Refresh 3, or TR-3 hardware to support a range of future improvements.

Kyiv said its army had retaken four villages in the eastern Donetsk region as it seeks to push south and threaten the Kremlin’s main defensive lines.
Ukraine has claimed the first battlefield gains since launching its counteroffensive against Russian forces, saying it liberated a number of villages over the weekend after heavy fighting on the southern and eastern fronts of the war.

Raytheon, the main contractor of the Patriot air defense system, has announced it plans to deliver five more of them to Ukraine by the end of next year. So far, Ukraine has received two Patriot batteries, one from the U.S. and one from Germany (consisting of German and Dutch components), to bolster its air defenses. The Netherlands agreed in January to also supply a pair of Patriot launcher components.
The announcement from Raytheon represents a drastic expansion of air defense capability for the embattled nation.
