The New Zealand Army has inducted the first batch of Bushmaster 4×4 Protected Mobility Vehicles at the Trentham Military Camp located in Upper Hutt near Wellington.
According to a press release by New Zealand’s Defence Minister Andrew Little, the army has received 18 Bushmasters.

Poland is set to acquire two Saab 340 Erieye AEW&C aircraft from Sweden, according to a statement made by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak, as well as a briefing slide shown by the Polish Air Force. (Saab)
Poland is in the advanced stages of negotiations with Sweden to acquire airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft for the country’s armed forces.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak, made the disclosure on 22 May, saying he expects a contract to be finalised in the near term.

Czechia agreed to purchase 246 CV90 Swedish combat vehicles for $2.2bn from the Swedish defence procurement administration (FMV) and BAE Systems Hagglunds on 24 May.
The following day, Slovakia procured sight and fire control capabilities from Saab for the 152 CV90s it acquired from BAE Systems Hagglunds in December last year.
BAE Systems Hagglunds will develop and delievr Czechia’s CV90s through an industrial partnership with Czech industry.

On May 24, the State Department gave its approval for a foreign military sale to Ukraine of National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) from Raytheon Missiles and Defence, with an estimated value of $285 million.
The proposed sale is expected enhancing the security of Ukraine and play a crucial role in promoting political stability and economic progress in Europe, according to a release from the US Defence Security and Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

The US Department of Defense (DoD) has awarded AM General with a $4.6bn contract to produce Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), trailers, kits, and services to support production.
After unseating Oshkosh Defense as the new manufacturer of the JLTV in February this year, AM General will start producing its A2 design for the US Army.
Companies bid via the internet with two received; it is likely that Oshkosh challenged AM General again for its old seat as the JLTV manufcaturer.
