The Portuguese Navy is to progressively upgrade its Viana do Castelo-class offshore patrol vessels (OPVs), service representatives told Janes.
The four OPVs – NRP Viana do Castelo (P360), NRP Figueira da Foz (P361), NRP Sines (P362), and NRP Setúbal (P363) – will be upgraded throughout their maintenance cycles.

India and France are slated to expand their defence co-operation to support the joint development of new engines for the 13 ton Indian Multi Role Helicopter (IMRH) programme and combat aircraft.
On 13 July Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on his website that France and India “will extend their … defence co-operation in advanced aeronautical technologies by supporting the joint development of a combat aircraft engine”.

Leonardo DRS is exploring a potential role in the US Army‘s future XM30 Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle, which will replace the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, according to the chief executive of the US-based company.

“We’re talking at this point” with American Rheinmetall Vehicles (ARV) and General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS), which are vying to be the XM30 prime contractor, Leonardo DRS chairman and CEO William Lynn told
