Only between 2% and 5% of the 800 cases currently being investigated by the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) “display signatures that could reasonably be described as anomalous,” the head of that office testified during a NASA hearing Wednesday. The US Navy has completed maintenance and modernization work on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington, Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) reports. Arrival at Naval Station Norfolk marks the end of testing and acceptance by the Navy.
The work carried out by HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding ensures the operation of the ship for the next 25 years. In addition to the change in nuclear fuel, various aircraft carrier systems were modernized. The Navy estimates that the USS George Washington will return to service in 2024 in the US 7th Fleet.

Analysis of open-source intelligence data shows that more than 2,000 Russian tanks may have been destroyed or confiscated during the conflict with Ukraine.
According to an aggregate report by Oryx, an intelligence analysis site based on public sources in the Netherlands, after more than 15 months of fighting, 1,238 Russian tanks were destroyed and 106 damaged. One hundred thirteen were abandoned, and Ukrainian forces confiscated 544.

Drag shows can no longer be held on U.S. military installations, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh confirmed.
“The Secretary [of defense] has said DoD will not host drag events at U.S. military installations or facilities, consistent with long-standing policy,” Singh told Task & Purpose on Thursday.
